P20 the perfect partner for Marathon des Sables

Every April, athletes from all over the world head to Morocco’s Sahara desert to tackle the toughest running event known to man; the Marathon des Sables (marathon of the sands).

During this six-day endurance event, competitors run a gruelling 151 miles, almost a marathon each day, across some of the most arduous terrain on the planet, battling sand storms and scorching temperatures over 50°C. Apart from tents and water, competitors must also carry all their equipment and food for the entire event in their backpack.

Over the years, numerous British athletes have completed the race. This year Rob Shenton took part to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Throughout the 2011 Marathon des Sables all eight members of tent 91 used P20. We had many discussions about kit and equipment and what was the best things that we'd taken. We would all probably change what we took if we did the event again. However the one piece of critical equipment we all agreed on was P20. It was simply brilliant, put it on in the morning run for up to 15 hours and get no burn- awesome!.

We've also had some great feedback from other entrants

I used P20 when I ran across the Sahara desert in temperatures reaching 50 degrees Celsius. I applied it each morning and that kept me going for the whole day, I didn't burn once. An amazing product."
